This Subscription Option adds an average of 4 additional fruit items ($15) to the pre-selected contents of your Share for 20 weeks during our farm’s peak fruit season – May thru Oct. Types of fruit include strawberries, plums, blackberries, and cherry tomatoes through the spring and summer. In the fall it’s apples (4-5 different varieties), delicious concord grapes, Meyer lemons, pears and pineapple guavas. Availability depends on what’s ripe when and, of course, crop yield.
Get a loaf, or two, of artisan whole-wheat sourdough bread from Companion Bakeshop in Santa Cruz with your Share. Using Companion’s own “Santa Cruz” sourdough starter, the loaves are a hand-shaped, rustic European style simply made from organic wheat flour, water, salt, and whatever seeds are used. Loaves are found in the For Your Pantry section of our Web Store and can be added to your Share while making changes. Limited quantity available.
To add a variety of other unique non-produce items for our Members to select from, we partner with local producers Happy Girl Kitchen to co-pack extra harvest abundance into Preserves; Hidden Fortress Roasters for Coffee, and Rivas Bees for Honey.
